Modern Icons (2012)
Egg tempera, oil, gesso, and metal leaf- materials used for centuries to capture the images of saints and transform them into icons. In "Modern Icons", Colleen Rollins applies these same traditional techniques to elevate humble farm animals, common flowers, and vintage family snapshots into a contemporary interpretation of Byzantine idols.
